For the first time ever on March 5th, 2009, a rock concert will be staged just for the deaf at Clifton’s Tavern in Toronto. The technology enabling such a feat is the Emoti-Chair, a device created by Ryerson University’s Centre of Learning Technology and the Science of Music, Auditory Research and Technology Lab. I’ll also be following up later this week with more wooden audio gadgets in this wood series. Enjoy!

Since Muxtape.com is currently in private beta, and the creator Justin Ouellette has only invited 12 of his favorite bands to join, there’s limited sights and sounds to explore. However, it’ll be a few more weeks until sign up is open to the public and we’ll have a better idea of what Muxtape has up its sleeve. Mr. Ouellette has announced several features that will be rolled out. Read the rest of this entry »
